Summer was Sweet

Tonight was warm and sunny and felt a bit like a last hurrah of summer. We rode our bikes to Morrie's with Heather and her kids to have ice cream after dinner. As seven o'clock approached the sun was setting and immediately it got cold. Summer is over. But we are thankful for the last bright evenings, when the park is crawling with kids, and homework isn't yet piling up. We are going to miss nights like this. I can't remember when we last trolled down to the beach. Must get to that one more time too.These photos are from our ice cream stop after visiting Jamestowne with Belinda and Keith. Christian got a monster sundae, and we finally found an ice cream-like product Ashi will eat, sorbet. With sprinkles of course! Christian was in quite the mood. He's usually so impossible to take a picture of without a strange look on his face. But for some reason he was very animated that afternoon. Must have been all those people he loves in one spot for a change.
