Almost Famous

The whole crew
Christian is reaping the rewards of having a very cool Grandma instead of just a cheap, lazy mom. Usually we show up at the Ski to Sea Junior Parade at about 5:45 and bum silk flowers and pipe cleaners off some kind family from his school. But now that he's a "homeschooler" (ha ha) he had the afternoon to prepare, and prepare they did.

Rocket Man on his space bike

He was quite proud of his costume and got so many compliments. Some big boys even came over to tell him what a great job he did (it was so sweet). And he was in The Herald (online edition that is- we're actually ALL in that photo including the usually invisible moms). That photo was taken half-way down the route, after the foil began shedding to reveal his red rocket boots. The photographer was even kind enough to use his WitSec name, Christian Camble, so I could link it to my blog.

After the parade we hit KFC (along with 200 other people), and the only child that was not ornery and unreasonable was the 1-year-old half past bedtime. Go figure.

way to throw everyone off the trail with the whole "Cambel" thing, no one will figure that out!! b/c it is a VERY hard last name to spell.....

hey guess what? we are thinking Zoe might be lactose intolerant, amazingly one of the things I asked before she immediately came down with TB and it was dismissed...hmmm, go figure....
