First Bike Ride, First Beach Trip

Christian is so happy, we got my bike back from Jill and finally made it down to the beach for the first time in weeks. He's been on my case, but it has just been too cold, especially to walk there. But today was so beautiful, and the wind took a break to let us enjoy it too.

Ashi fits really well in the old bike seat, I bought it in Holland before Christian was born, it is so much nicer than having your little kiddo behind you where they can throw off your balance and you can't keep an eye on them. Ashi was pretty happy as long as we kept moving so he could forget about how much he hates that helmet. Christian LOVED to go for a ride when he was little, I'm pretty sure Ashi will be the same way. It's so much fun to ride up front and the view can't be beat.

While we played in the sand Christian was "building", it looked more like deconstructing to me, but whatever. It was dirty and that's about all that matters to a little boy.

Ashi the defiant toddler is getting a taste of being the second child. You can try to eat the sand once, and Mom will tell you "no" and stop you. But if you do it again she's just gonna sit back and watch you try to get it all back out of your mouth. Yep, it's tough being number 2.
