But the really fun part was what a good sport he was about it. No screaming, no crying, no smacking that sassy auntie upside the head. Nope. Just laughing. A little eye rolling. But all in all, I think you're gonna do alright in this family kiddo! And that attitude rocks so darn much that your auntie went soft on you and let you exchange. Old School superhero cartoons, heck yeah! Now we're talkin'. A little Superman, a little Green Lantern, a bit of Batman and Robin (freakishly voiced by the guy on Scooby Doo "holy carbohydrates, I was HUNGRY") and about a dozen more flying leotard clad fellas (and Wonder Women of course for diversity).

Good old Mom and trusty Grandma just cut right straight to the good stuff (foam weapons and Power Rangers). Can you tell we're a little happy about this?



C got to pick where we went for his birthday dinner. He chose the Japanese Steakhouse (hibachi restaurant). It was funny because I think we were asked 6 times if he chose the restaurant by the waitstaff. Of course he did. Why would an almost 6 year old pick a sushi bar/steakhouse for his birthday dinner? Well this of course!
C calls this the "Fireman Restaurant" because they make a volcano out of an onion and light the whole hibachi on fire with it. Good stuff!At the lower left you can see C's "birthday candle" which he blew out after the waitstaff sang him happy birthday. He's been telling us for months that this special candle in Grandma's candle box is for his birthday. He plays "candle store" and sells us the candles (for real money of course, the boy's not dumb), but this one has always been not for sale. He was tickled to have it appear at his party!
